Our inventory of exotic woods is from such places as Africa, Asia, Australia, South America, India, Mexico, Central America, and the United States amongst others.
All of our woods have been either air dried, kiln dried or fully waxed to prevent cracking or checking. The moisture content can vary for each individual piece and further drying may be needed, although getting this information from the processing mills overseas is not always easy to do. The woods may vary greatly in figure and how they have been processed. Many of the pieces have been treated with Paraffin wax and/or anchor sealer to help prevent cracking. To remove the wax/sealer simply scrape or sand the wood. In some rare cases you may have to use a wax remover.
